The Good Move
Method
Our approach to physical therapy and dry needling is constant assessment with each unique visit to prioritize success. If strength or mobility are limited, it should be tested and measured to be proven and any interventions to address these impairments should show meaningful change. We are strong advocates for our treatment being a part of our assessment and dedicate every session to ensure consistent progress towards your specific goals. With our approach, we often achieve over 50% reduction in pain with our first treatment and typically significant and lasting results within 5 visits. Our exercises and activity modifications are all catered to your individual presentation with constant discussion and modification of our plan of care to prioritize teamwork in getting you better.
We feel so strongly about our method that our biggest emphasis is actually our flexibility. We offer initial consults far below most physical therapy practices because we understand the importance of meeting your provider and feeling good about who you are working with. We want to encourage you to meet us, get a feel for how we treat, and decide for yourself if we are worth your time while offering little to lose. Your consult fee applies to your first evaluation should you choose to get started.

Rock climbing brought me to Utah back in 2019. I knew I wanted to be near the mountains and applied to schools in Colorado and Utah, happy to go wherever I got in first. Having climbed for over a decade, I’ve grown to appreciate the process of climbing much more than any single achievement. It’s a process to find a climb worth seeking out, a process to learn the moves and work through it, a process to build your body and mind to complete it, and 99% of the time spent is learning from failure. As soon as you achieve the top, you move on to the next climb.
This process has been helpful for me to even become a physical therapist. I graduated with a historically low GPA out of UC Berkeley and no real direction or ambitions. Climbing brought injuries and injuries brought rehab until I finally realized what I genuinely enjoyed doing. It took me three more years to re-do all my pre-requisite classes and prove that I was serious about applying to PT school. Luckily, I got my shot right here in Utah.
From there, I began a process of learning. After completing my doctorate at Rocky Mountain University in Provo, I jumped into a residency to become a board-certified orthopedic specialist. I became specialized at my clinic with manual techniques, manipulations, and dry needling. We all talk about building our “practice” and ultimately that process of learning will never end.
My background has given me a true appreciation for the process. I recognize every injury has a story, every body is unique, and every person deserves to be treated to what they specifically need. It will be a new process for me to get to know you, but I am confident I will put in the work to find the best solution for you.

Born and raised in Wisconsin, I didn't find my way out to Utah until spring break of 2017. I never knew Utah as a destination for travel until a friend and I went backpacking in Zion which opened my eyes to the beauty in its nature. Because of this trip, when it came time to apply to PT schools, I decided to throw an application out west to Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions. I was then accepted and started school in 2019 and graduated with John Wu in 2022.
I had always been interested in the sports and health fields throughout high school and college but never really found my place until I looked into physical therapy. I think all of us in the healthcare field can agree that we have a passion for helping people. The passion I truly found within physical therapy was because I could spend direct time together to learn the individuality of my patient, understand their needs, and find solutions to their problems as a team. That is something that is so rare to find in our nation's busy healthcare industry and what, ultimately, made me leave my previous practice.
As I've refined my craft in physical therapy, I want to be able to give full attention to my patients, spend as much time as needed with them to solve their issues, and help each one of you become independent in your pain and understanding of any issue you may have. We are very confident at Good Move DN&PT that we will provide therapy and service to your utmost satisfaction without leaving anything at the wayside.
